What You Will Do
Reporting to the Manager of Maintenance the HVAC technician will maintain diagnose and repair campus HVAC and related building systems to ensure optimal performance and comfort. Responsibilities include:
- Maintaining and repairing heating ventilation and air conditioning systems
- Diagnosing and resolving electrical mechanical and refrigeration issues
- Monitoring and adjusting automated building systems across campus
- Performing preventative maintenance (changing filters lubricating motors cleaning coils inspecting heaters belts fans dampers drains and overall unit condition)
- Identifying and addressing maintenance risks proactively
- Maintaining accurate service records including parts and repairs
- Ensuring compliance with HVAC codes and safety standards
- Supporting campus needs including special events and snow removal
- Assisting with general maintenance tasks as needed (lighting painting event setup/breakdown etc.)
About You
The ideal candidate for the HVAC Technician at The Episcopal Academy will possess the following:
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- At least 3 years of HVAC experience in a commercial setting (or equivalent combination of training and experience)
- Working knowledge of HVAC systems controls and basic building automation systems
- Strong mechanical electrical and refrigeration diagnostic skills
- A clean driving record and ability to meet federal and state driving standards
- The ability to kneel climb lift and work in varying weather conditions
