POSITION SUMMARY:
Emergency Services Technician performs administrative/clerical duties in support of an assigned area. Employee is also required to perform telemetry monitoring.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required. Current CNA certificate or current Iowa EMT certification or current National Certified Medical Assistant (CMA).
Experience: CNA or ER Tech experience required
Certifications: Current BLS certification or must obtain within 1 month of hire. Emergency Med Tech EMT Certified Nursing Assistant Iowa Mandatory Reporter Child and Dependent Adult Abuse Certificates preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
Requires critical thinking skills decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

In hospital environment may be exposed to hazards and unusual elements which may include but are not limited to bloodborne pathogens and / or contagious illnesses toxic chemicals and biohazardous materials which may require extensive safety precautions and the use of protective equipment.
Noise level in the work environment is typical for an office and/or hospital environment.
