Job Description
As a Security Officer - Access Control Monitor in Lakeland FL you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution and more. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees visitors and drivers by following site-specific security-related procedures and access control policies including verifying identification and issuing visitor credentials.
- Control entry and exit at gates and/or lobbies for personnel contractors and commercial vehicles including managing visitor logs delivery appointments and directing traffic flow as needed.
- Monitor cameras alarms and access control systems and document unusual activity policy violations and maintenance issues according to post orders.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including initiating emergency response activities when appropriate and notifying site leadership and/or emergency services.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of docks yard areas and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized access and support orderly operations at the location.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have 1 years of security-related experience.
- A guard card/license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
