We are seeking to appoint a Security Analyst tojoinourSecurity Operations team on an eighteen (18) month fixed term contract basis.


This role is primarily based at our Dublin 1 offices however we are pleased to offer aflexible work/life balancearrangement. This allows you to workfrom home up to three (3) days a week. You will be expected to work at least two (2) days a week in the office giving you the opportunity to enjoy a balanced and dynamic work environment.

Potential travel required from time to time to events and client sites.

What the Security Analyst does

The Security Analyst will support the delivery of managed security services to our higher education clients. Reporting to the Security Operations Manager the Security Analyst will work closely with the Product Team the Senior Security Analyst and a 3rd party MSSP in delivery of Asiera SOC & SIEM services.


The successful candidate will support the security operations and service delivery to our clients. When a client security incident occurs a key responsibility of this role will be to assist the Senior Analyst in managing the security incident on behalf of Asiera including investigation threat hunting and issuing client advisories. This will include acting as a key contributor to aid client resolver groups providing advice on containment and remediation steps recovery stage activity and identifying responsive actions that Asiera can take to manage and reduce threats to constituents.


The successful candidate will also be a key contributor in the further development of security platforms platform integration and design & development of additional managed security services and service features.


Key Responsibilities

  • SOC Alert and Case Management Governance
  • Security Incident Management Investigation Response Advisory Comms Management
  • Contributor to service governance reports and preparation for service review meetings
  • Proactive & Reactive Threat Hunting Activities
  • Collaborate with Cross Functional Teams PMO Security Consultants Engineering Teams Service Desk on service development and client onboarding
  • Contribute to Security Platform Design and Development
  • Research and production of threat information for security reports bulletins client forums and events
  • Contribution to Security Product Roadmap

What we need from you

  • Experience working in SOC/relevant IT operations role/relevant degree in computing /cyber security or relevant cyber security certifications
  • Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with clients vendors and other stakeholders
  • Proven experience investigating ICT/ security incidents including coordination and communication between multiple resolver groups and involved parties
  • Good knowledge of the threat landscape
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to work in a busy work environment to adapt to changing situations and divergent client environments
  • Adept at working with both technical experts and security experts on shared goals

Wedontneed you to have experience in the following areas but if you did it could be beneficial:


  • Experience working with SIEM EDR NDR Threat Intelligence Platforms
  • Good knowledge of NIST Security Incident Handling 800-61
  • Experience with Threat Hunting
  • Experience with Splunk SPL
  • Experience with NetFlow and PCAP analysis
  • Relevant Cyber Security Certification
  • Prior experience or knowledge of Higher Education and Research Sector
  • Prior experience in Managed Security Services
