Key Responsibilities:
Accounting
- Run the full accounting cycle for all the CA in place. Currently 9 worth 5M EUR.
- Manage electronic invoicing for public customers including use of the Xylem digital signature public portal management and troubleshooting IT or customer digital address issues.
- Manage electronic invoicing for private customers including onboarding private portals using the Xylem digital signature and resolving IT or customer address issues.
- Resolve inconsistencies that block the billing process.
- Assess revenue treatment for large contracts (contract review revenue breakdown ERP-to-books revenue alignment by product line).
- Project reconciliation and follow-up.
- Serve as ERP key user for project accounting billing and revenue; provide training and support to users.
- Prepare credit notes and apply appropriate netting against invoices based on credit note type and AR team approvals.
Taxation
- Management of tax accountancy.
- Review VAT coding and tax submissions ensuring alignment between monthly submissions and quarterly VAT.
- Ensure all the CA join the special regime for the corporate tax gaining the exemption.
- Maintain digital certificates for each CA.
Treasury
- Monthly reconciliation of all CA bank accounts created
- Collaborate with Treasury to execute payments and cash in.
- General bank accounts management
Reporting
- Prepare financial statements for integration into the OneStream reporting process.
- Collaborate with partners to share finalized financial statements.
Legal
- Coordinate notarial requirements: request and manage deeds review and update power of attorney
- Handle occasional dealings with public authorities
Audit
- Provide support for local audits.
SOX Compliance
- Monitor maintain enhance and archive all weekly monthly quarterly and annual SOX controls integrated into Xylem Spain.
Europe & Emerging Markets Support
Provide general support to ensure that accounting tax and legal obligations for Collaboration Arrangements or other legal entities are addressed either by local teams or external agencies.
