Job Summary

OVERVIEW

Reporting to the Senior Manager Corporate Compliance & Risk the Risk & Compliance Intern will gain hands-on experience supporting regulatory oversight and compliance initiatives within a dynamic corporate environment. The intern will contribute to regulatory research data analysis and support business operations within the team. This role offers the opportunity to build practical skills and participate in cross-functional collaboration while receiving direct mentorship from experienced professionals.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct regulatory research on various business topics related to compliance.
  • Conducting preliminary research on low-risk regulatory questions under supervision.
  • Assisting with drafting internal documents such as summaries checklists or process notes.
  • Help track and document regulatory changes and industry developments.
  • Assist Producer Compliance team with compliance related tasks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Create professional presentations and reports for stakeholders.
  • Assist in data analysis and reporting using Excel.
  • Perform other duties and assignments as required.


QUALIFICATIONS

Education

  • Student enrolled in a post-secondary degree program in Business MBA Risk Management Compliance or a related field.


Experience

  • Strong competency with MS Office (e.g. Excel Word PowerPoint).
  • Strong research analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of risk management.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
  • Tech-savvy and quick to adapt to new tools and technologies.
  • Proactive curious and willing to learn.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • All CM employees work 40 hours per week remotely from a home office environment.


PAY TRANSPARENCY

ExpectedCompensation:

  • A salary of $14700 for the 4-month term.
  • The salary listed complies with the Ontario Employment Standards Act and reflects working full-time hours.
