Holmesglen Private Hospital is seekinganexperiencedPerioperativeNurseEducatorto join ourPerioperative teamon apermanent part-time basis. You will play a key role within a supportive team in ensuringhigh levelsof patient care is provided.
Holmesglen Private Hospital is a world class facility located in the South Eastern region of Melbourne. Close to public transport and with affordable onsite parking. Holmesglen Private is a state of the art 147 bed hospital comprising of a 24/7 Emergency Department 6 bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU) 9 bed specialised Coronary Care Unit (CCU) 12 bay Day Infusion Unit and 5 specialised inpatient units. including Oncology Urology ENT Orthopaedics Plastic Surgery Interventional Cardiology and Rehabilitation Services.
As an Operating Theatre Educator your responsibilities will include:
- Identify educational needs by partnering with Nursing Leaders (i.e. DON NUM CNS) and Clinical Support Functions (i.e. Quality Infection Control)
- Lead and foster a learning environment
- Maintains a professional and constructive working relationships
- Prioritises Healthscopes patient safety and quality frameworks
- Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent qualification
- Registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Certificate in work place assessment and training
Essential Criteria:
- Current AHPRA Registration
- Post Graduate Qualification in perioperative nursing or clinical education
- Certificate IV Workplace Assessment & Training (TAE)
- Thorough knowledge of ACORN standards and current legislation
- 5 years clinical experience in perioperative nursing
- Demonstrated experience in eLearning platforms
- Proven communication and interpersonal skills
- High degree of computer literacy including MS Office
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- WWCC
- Current Police Check
Desirable Criteria
- Certificate 4 or working towards
