Were looking for energetic enthusiastic team players to help bring the magic of summer to life! This is a part-time temporary field position supporting the Summer Sneakers Program - a high-energy community-based initiative designed to engage kids in fun active and meaningful experiences. As a vital member of our team youll assist with hands-on activities help coordinate daily programs and play a key role in creating an unforgettable summer for the children we serve. The program runs from June 1st - July 31st 2026 Monday through Friday 7:00am until 6:00pm. If youre ready to get outside get involved and make a difference we want to hear from you!
Knowledge of community youth recreation programming preferred. Ability to understand and carry out written and oral instructions required. Ability to follow rules and program planning. Must have the ability to lead activities in various program areas. Must have the ability to work effectively with diverse groups and to assist in maintaining discipline and/or control. Must be able to meet and deal tactfully with the public and parents.
High school diploma/GED preferred. Experience working with children in a recreation setting desired. CPR/ First Aid certification required. Tasks involve the ability to exert moderate though not constant physical effort typically involving some combination of walking moving rapidly throwing balancing stooping kneeling crouching and crawling and while playing and interacting with children.
