Job Summary

JOB SUMMARY: The Dental Treatment Coordinator acts as the primary liaison between patients and the dental care team. This role ensures patients fully understand their treatment options associated costs and insurance coverage while coordinating all logistical aspects of their care. The position combines patient education financial planning and administrative support to create a seamless experience from diagnosis to treatment completion.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Patient Communication
    • Present and explain treatment plans procedures timelines and expected outcomes.
    • Address patient questions and concerns in a clear empathetic manner.
  • Financial Coordination
    • Prepare and review cost estimates insurance benefits and payment options.
    • Assist with financial arrangements including payment plans.
  • Insurance Management
    • Verify insurance eligibility and benefits.
  • Scheduling
    • Coordinate and schedule all appointments related to accepted treatment plans.
    • Ensure alignment with patient availability and clinical team schedules.
  • Record Keeping
    • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with HIPAA.
    • Document treatment plan acceptance and financial agreements in practice software.
  • Follow-Up
    • Monitor patient progress and follow up on unscheduled treatments.
    • Encourage case acceptance and continuity of care.
  • Team Collaboration
    • Communicate effectively with dentists hygienists and administrative staff.
    • Support workflow efficiency and patient satisfaction goals.

Finally the ability to apply the depth of knowledge maintained and gained through this process in real life scenarios as appropriate.

SPECIFIED SKILLS

  • COMPUTER
    • Excellent skills in Microsoft Office including Word Excel PowerPoint and database applications required.
    • Strong knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
    • Proficiency in dental practices management software
    • Organizational and problem-solving skills abilities
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Customer service orientation and empathy for patient needs

  • FOREIGN LANGUAGE
    • Spanish speaking skills preferred.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 3 Years of experience in dental office or treatment coordinator role proficient insurance knowledge.

REQUIRED LICENSES:

SCHEDULE:

Regular attendance on-site is an essential function of this position. Typical business hours are Monday Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (or flexed to best meet the needs of the clients and/or the Division); 40 hours per workweek; weekend holiday or evening coverage is occasionally required. Work hours will need to be flexible in order to respond to special work assignments or evening activities as requested by the team leader.

POSITION COMPENSATION:

$24.90/hour full time full benefits available
