Seeking a Painter/Plaster/Drywall to work the scheduled shift is Monday - Friday: 7am - 3:30 pm.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- The Painter/Plaster Drywall Finisher performs industrial/commercial finishing and patching of plaster and drywall constructed walls and ceilings.
- Provides assistance in the preparation for an application of various types of coating.
- Mixes and matches paint stain and other finishes to job specifications.
- Applies paint stain and other finishes to paint surfaces using paintbrushes rollers or sprayers.
- May hang wallpaper.
- Must follow all safeguards rules and regulations.
- Performs other related duties as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Five years of experience in plastering and sheetrock finishing.
- Proficiency with furniture and equipment refinishing the use of paint spraying equipment and the application of paint to road surfaces.
- Must satisfactorily pass a Medical Respiratory Clearance Test and a Respirator Fit Test prior to beginning work and on an annual basis.
- A valid Georgia drivers license and insurable driving record.
- Some positions within this classification may require the ability to lift 50 pounds and to bend stoop and twist.
NOTE: Position tasks are required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location; working remote is not an option. Emory reserves the right to change this status with notice to employee.
