As a Security Officer - Armed Flex Patrolman in El Paso TX you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to personnel and visitors at a government location by following site-specific procedures access protocols and/or emergency response activities as directed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings parking areas and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazards or policy violations.
- Respond to alarms calls for service disturbances and critical incidents in a calm problem-solving manner using de-escalation techniques when appropriate.
- Monitor and report suspicious activity potential threats and/or unusual conditions; document observations in detailed incident reports and maintain required logs.
- Coordinate with site representatives and local law enforcement partners as needed; maintain readiness of assigned equipment and follow all Allied Universal and site-specific use-of-force and reporting requirements.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be a graduate of a Law Enforcement or Military Police training program or equivalent.
- Possess a college degree.
- Be 21 years of age.
- Have 2 years law enforcement military and/or corrections experience.
- Possess a Corrections Officer License.
- Provide a DD214 with Honorable Discharge OR an Associates Degree with 60 college credits OR a Police Academy Certificate OR a Corrections Academy Certificate.
- Possess a Law Enforcement Officer License.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
