In this Mechanical Designerrole you will be responsible for designing and creating detailed drawings of custom sheet metal machinery using SolidWorks and AutoCAD. You will work closely with Project Management and Manufacturing teams to ensure designs meet customer specifications and are optimized for fabrication and assembly.

This position is a DIRECT HIRE role that is a long-term need for my client. This role must be worked ON-SITE.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or Associates degree in Mechanical Technology
2 years of experience in a machine design environment
Strong experience using SolidWorks and AutoCAD for 2D and 3D design
Experience designing sheet metal components weldments and mechanical assemblies
Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic circuit design
Ability to perform engineering calculations and interpret technical data
Familiarity with software such as Microsoft 365 Adobe PDF and ERP systems
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to support manufacturing and service teams with technical issues
Strong communication skills and ability to work both independently and within a team
