Heres What You Need
H.S. Diploma or equivalent and employed as a surgical technologist in a healthcare facility before September 1 2009 (required)
Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology Program Vocational Nurse Program or completion of a military training program in surgical technology (required or preferred depending on background)
Labor and delivery scrub experience (strongly preferred)
CST Certified Surgical Technologist graduate of an accredited surgical technology program (required upon hire)
CST Certified Surgical Technologist who was employed to practice surgical technology in a healthcare facility before September 1 2009 (required upon hire)
CST Certified Surgical Technologist with completion of a military training program in surgical technology (required upon hire)
LVN Licensed Vocational Nurse (required upon hire)
BCLS Basic Cardiac Life Support certification prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly (required upon hire)
What You Will Do
Assist in providing peri-operative care for a patient population that includes Infants Pediatrics Adults and Geriatrics
Assist with stocking Unit (Rooms and Supplies)
Attend Vaginal Deliveries
Preoperatively assist R.N. circulator in formulating plan of care
Assist as needed in coordinating patient care peri-operatively and assume responsibility and accountability for behavior in order to maintain standards for professional nursing practice
Post-operatively follow proper procedures for care of instruments supplies and equipment. Under supervision assist RN circulator with post-operative duties
Assiss in the delivering of nursing care in a manner that minimizes the risk of transfer of infection and accidental contamination.

Work hours: Part Time- 24 hours; 7:00pm-7:00am with rotating weekends

375 400 deliveries per month
Maternal IV designation in Labor & Delivery
