About this position

The rehab aide assists therapy staff with a variety of patient care and departmental activities. The patients may include pediatrics adolescents adults and geriatrics with disabilities due to birth defects trauma illness and aging. The rehab aide functions as part of the interdisciplinary treatment team and collaborates with other caregivers with the goal of providing remarkable patient care. The rehab aide also participates in improvement activities and projects designed to improve patient care standards in the department.

High School graduate or equivalent required

Experience

Experience
1 year customer service experience required.
Previous patient care experience preferred

Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Capable of learning rehab philosophy and attitudes needed to care for the physically disabled
Flexibility and judgment to prioritize work requests to meet patient care needs
Ability to react appropriately and quickly to emergency situations

Licensure/Certification

Current BLS certification or completion of certification within the first 90 days of start.
