The Role

The Staff Software Engineerspecializesin Software and DevOpsandisresponsible fordriving the teams technical direction fostering innovation and ensuring the highest quality in our software development and operations a blend of technicalexpertise strategic vision and strong leadership abilities to guide our engineering team toward excellence.

What You Do

  • Provide strategic guidance and mentorship toSoftware and DevOpsEngineers fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
  • Lead the design and architecture of complex software systems ensuring scalability reliability and performance.
  • Oversee the implementation and optimization of DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines automated testing andinfrastructure ascode.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including product management QA and operations to align technical solutions with business goals.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends andemergingtechnologiesadvocating fortheir adoption tomaintaina competitive edge.
  • Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices andmaintainhigh-quality standards.
  • Address technical challenges and provide innovative solutions to complex engineering problems.
  • Ensure comprehensive documentation of system designs processes and standards.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of engineering teams.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned to support teamobjectives departmental needs and overall organizational priorities.

What You Bring

Required Qualifications:

  • Degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or a related field or equivalent industry experience and training.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in software engineering or DevOps with at least 5 years experience in communicating with stakeholders as a project manager business analyst etc.
  • Extensive knowledge of software development methodologies cloud platforms (AWS Azure GCP) containerization (Docker Kubernetes) and CI/CD tools (Jenkins GitLab CIAzureDevOps).
  • Proficiencyin multiple programming languages such as Java Python C JavaScript or C# along with multiple frameworks.
  • Working knowledge of Microservices SOA Monolith REST RPC SQL NoSQLetc.
  • Proventrack recordof collaboration amongst technical team members withfocuson mentoring and guiding junior resources for growth.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering innovative solutions.
  • Ability to articulate technical concepts to a variety of stakeholders that are technical and non-technical in nature.

Asset Qualifications:

  • Experience in industries such as finance healthcare public safety or government.
  • Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Azure Professional DevOps Engineer or Certified Kubernetes Administrator.
  • Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
  • Understanding ofsecurity best practices and experience implementing security measures in software and DevOps processes.
  • Experience integrating andleveragingAI tooling in development workflows.
