Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Legal Administrative Assistant to join our Medical Malpractice team based in our Philadelphia PA office. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing insight and knowledge and support to our attorneys in defense litigation cases. This is a permanent position that offers a competitive salary and benefits package.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Assisting attorneys who specialize in medical malpractice.
- Scheduling calls conferences mediation and other events.
- E-filing court documents with county state and federal court systems.
- Scanning and saving documents to document management system.
- Organizing and assembling files for new matters.
- Submitting invoice for payments.
- Answering phones.
- Managing attorneys calendars.
- Other office administrative duties as assigned by attorneys or paralegals.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a role as a legal administrative assistant (Experience in Medical Malpractice is required)
- Strong understanding of legal terminology litigation process and medical record organization.
- Proficient to Excellent in Microsoft Office including Word Excel and Outlook;
- Adaptability willingness to learn and ability to work as a productive member of a team.
- Strong communication skills both orally and written with diverse audiences.
- Ability to quickly learn proprietary software systems and databases.
- Demonstrated organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision.
This position is for our Philadelphia PA office. Hours are generally 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. (Monday through Friday) but additional hours could be required as necessary.
