What you will be doing:

We have a career growth opportunity for a Senior Mechanical Project Engineer to join our team at Galliford Try working on our Severn Trent Water Framework within the Environment Business. Our team has a proven track record of delivering a wide range of water treatment projects across the water industry.

Ideally youll be based in or around Annesley with the flexibility to travel across various project sites within the region.

Role Overview:
Reporting to the Senior Project Manager youll support the management and delivery of wastewater projects from early project scoping through to the completion of construction. This includes overseeing site investigations initial surveys and supporting the development of construction and design strategies.

As a key member of the Project Delivery Team youll collaborate with both internal and external multi-disciplinary design teamsincluding mechanical electrical and structural engineersas well as contract engineers and delivery personnel to ensure an integrated and efficient project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the full project lifecycle from planning and investigation through design construction and handover
• Develop and manage operational documentation for the construction phase
• Secure all required external permits and approvals for construction to begin
• Engage and manage subcontractors through investigation design and build stages
• Serve as a key point of contact between the client third-party stakeholders and internal teams to ensure effective scheduling and communication
• Attend and contribute to design progress and site meetings monitoring programme progress and project costs
• Participate in internal and external programme reviews and input into financial reporting (e.g. Cost to Complete budget tracking)
• Use the companys Common Data Environments (CDE) to follow and maintain established delivery processes and procedures
• Mentor and support junior team members helping to develop skills and promote a collaborative working environment

About You:

Alongside your previous experience of infrastructure project delivery andappropriate Mechanical Qualifications were seeking somebody with an understanding of NEC 4 Contractual requirements and an understanding of sustainable development with a drive and commitment to support the companies commitments.

To be successful in this role you will have extensive sound knowledge of current legislation and able to work in accordance with QA and H&S procedures as well as an awareness and understanding of CDM.

You are all about teamwork and able to demonstrate an understanding of what makes an effective team the value of diversity the strengths and skills of others and actively support team objectives.

Youll have proven track record of effective time management able to prioritise objectives to ensure tasks are met to specific deadlines. Youre prepared to ask for support from colleagues where necessary. You can demonstrate the ability to remain focused through challenging periods and adapting to changing business needs with an openness to learning new tasks and different ways of working.

Were seeking somebody with effective communication skills allowing others to present their points for discussion challenging the status quo where appropriate with the ability to provide constructive feedback in a sensitive manner.
