Storage & Backup SME (DV Cleared)

Duration: 6 Months

Location: Milton Keynes & remote (hybrid working)

Rate: 500 per day

IR35 Status: Inside

Start: ASAP

We require a Storage & Backup SME (DV Cleared) for our Government client to provide specialist support for enterprise storage and data protection platforms with a focus on Veeam and physical storage technologies.

This is a critical role to ensure data availability integrity and recoverability within a secure regulated environment. You will be supporting various tiered systems within the physical storage and backup skills and technology space.

You will support a wider team of skilled technicians who support various Government platforms and services. You will provide BAU support and project deliverables too.

Also to support backup restore and disaster recovery capabilities assist with platform optimisation and ensure data protection services meet operational and compliance requirements.

As the Storage & Backup SME (DV Cleared) you will possess a strong technical depth and experience supporting business critical systems - this is essential.

You will also be key in leading conversations around environment development and growth utilising automation techniques to improve the infrastructure.

Essential Skills & Experience required:

DV Clearance - essential *

In-depth experience with Veeam Backup and replication

Strong knowledge of NetAppstorage platforms

Backup restore and disaster recovery design and testing

Data protection in secure and regulated environments

Capacity planning and performance optimisation

An understanding of backup encryption retention and compliance requirements

Proven experience supporting enterprise backup restore and storage platforms

Desirable Certifications - Veeam Certified Engineer (VMCE) and/or NetApp Certified Data Administrator (NCDA) or equivalent demonstrable experience
