The buzzing Canva London campus features several buildings around beautiful leafy Hoxton Square in Shoreditch. While our global headquarters is in Sydney Australia London is our HQ for Europe with all kinds of teams based here plus event spaces to gather our team and communities. What youd be doing in this role

As Canva scales change continues to be part of our DNA. But we like to think thats all part of the fun. So this will give you the flavour of the type of things youll be working on when you start but this will likely evolve.

At the moment this role is focused on:

• You will be the main driver for improving quality in your embedded team and work with key stakeholders to drive process tooling and testing changes.

• You will also be responsible for creating the test strategy for the teams projects with a focus on shift left QA activities instead of just test execution.

• You will also be the subject matter expert for the teams testing and product knowledge driving knowledge sharing and documentation for your team and other teams software engineers and QA

• Youll also need to model initiative and ownership in achieving goals improving processes and solutions for other QA engineers. Youll work with other Senior QA engineers to define expectations and up skill other QA engineers.

Youre probably a match if

• You are proactive results-oriented and comfortable navigating ambiguity thriving in a fast-paced environment where you can take initiative and drive outcomes.

• You have experience with working with product teams and defining the QA process for your team. This may involve looking at the current development process for each team identifying opportunities for injecting quality and advocating for process changes to improve product quality.

• You can articulate technical concepts clearly and work effectively within a team environment readily sharing knowledge and engaging with stakeholders across the engineering organiation.

• You have demonstrated experience building and maintaining robust Test Automation Frameworks.

• You have experience in testing complex web apps mobile apps (iOS and Android) and backend services.

• You are meticulous in your work and passionate about testing.

• You have experience in coaching/guiding team members with testing best practices.

• You possess a solid grasp of test automation principles across different levels (unit integration E2E) and understand the challenges involved in building reliable maintainable test suites and frameworks.

• You have automated tasks using a scripting language like Bash or Python. You have a good understanding of what needs to be included in unit integration and end-to-end tests and can coach engineers on what needs to be automated.

Not a must but a big plus if:

• You have experience with Creative Software. Experience with concepts like Animation and Data Visualisation is a bonus and familiarity with professional creative software is preferred.

• Experience with test frameworks such as Cyprus or Playwright

• You have experience with new and upcoming tech like Machine Learning Model testing

• You have experience with Accessibility testing.
