Logistics Associate HERD

Location: Winnipeg MB
Employment Type: Full-time Monday - Friday

We are a leading manufacturer of truck bumpers committed to delivering top-quality products on time and we are looking for a Logistics Associate who will play a critical role in this mission.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customs Clearance & International Shipments:

    • Prepare and manage all customs documentation for overseas shipments.

    • Ensure compliance with USA and Canadian import/export regulations.

    • Coordinate with freight forwarders carriers and suppliers to ensure timely delivery.

  • Materials Handling & Knowledge:

    • Apply expertise in steel and aluminum including country of melt and pour knowledge to support material handling inventory management and production coordination.

  • Order Fulfillment & Transportation:

    • Build shipments according to the production line schedule.

    • Create stock transfer and customer orders ensuring accurate processing and on-time shipment.

    • Arrange transportation and schedule pickups with carriers and logistics providers.

    • Prepare and manage all shipping documentation including bills of lading packing lists and customs paperwork.

    • Generate daily shipment invoice reports and end-of-month shipment summaries for management.

  • Continuous Improvement & Compliance:

    • Identify opportunities to optimize logistics processes and reduce costs.

    • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements industry standards and company policies.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of logistics experience with proven experience in customs clearance for international shipments (USA & Canada).

  • Strong understanding of steel and aluminum materials including country of melt and pour knowledge.

  • Excellent computer organizational communication and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners.
