Research Assoc Research Institute at Nationwide Childrens Hospital Columbus OH. Conduct research on genetic mechanisms underlying Prune Belly Syndrome (PBS) & posterior cloaca malformations. Establish & maintain patient-derived iPSC biobank incl reprogramming maintenance & characterization of iPSCs using immunofluorescence flow cytometry RT-PCR & Western blot to assess pluripotency. PBMC & urine sample processing from patients & families for downstream analysis & biobanking. Perform molecular cloning & site-directed mutagenesis for plasmid generation. Resp for general lab maintenance. Min. req incl: Bachelors in Bio Biotech or Microbio plus 1 yr exp in molecular bio techniques (RNA DNA & protein extraction cDNA synthesis & RT-PCR) immunofluorescence (mouse tissues imaging cryosectioning & mouse handling) ELISA & cell culture techniques.
