Job Summary

We are seeking a Data Engineering Lead with a proven track record in the design developmentmaintenance and operation of scalable high-performance data technology platforms including bothconventional and modern database and data engineering systems and pipelines. This is a hands-ontechnical leadership position which includes developing data technologies while managing leading anddeveloping an international engineering team.

Responsibilities and Duties

Leads directs and manages the Data Engineering Team and its strategic tactical and operationalactivities.
Coordinates leads and actively participates in all Data Engineering projects including technicalrequirements gathering resource allocation design and documentation schedulingdevelopment implementation task tracking and status reporting.
Collaborates closely and regularly with the other teams including Product Development ProjectManagement Front-End Back-End and Quality Engineering DevOps Infrastructure andCustomer Service.
Designs develops and maintains data technology strategy architecture and code and leadsother data engineers by example.
Helps develop maintain and enforce the companys software development tools and standardsand conducts design and code reviews on a regular basis to improve quality and ensurecompliance.

Qualifications and Skills

Expert-level skills and experience architecting designing developing and supporting complexscalable high-traffic and high-availability data architectures based primarily on PostgreSQL andto a lesser extent SQL Server Oracle and MySQL.
Experience in query optimization performance tuning ETL data processing pipelines BusinessIntelligence Machine Learning and Big Data
Experience with cloud-based data technology solutions including RDS RedShift Athena andElasticsearch.
Experience with NoSQL Technologies such as MongoDB is a plus.
Experience leading building and managing teams with decision making responsibilities.
Experience with the Agile Development Process and related tools.
Strong experience with CI/CD Tools and Systems such as Jenkins Hudson GitLab GitHub etc.
