Groundskeeper Part-Time

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform regular grounds and landscaping maintenance such as mowing lawns string trimming blowing weed maintenance mulching pruning trimming and caring for plantings at campus locations in Logansport and Peru.

• Removing trash and debris from the grounds drains sidewalks parking lots and entrances to the campus.
• Provide routine maintenance of all lawn care equipment.

• Able to operate commercial lawn mowers trimmers tractors to maintain the facility grounds.
• Other duties assigned consistent with commonly accepted practices.
• All responsibilities will be conducted within the parameters of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) other applicable regulatory requirements and professional standards.

• While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to stand walk use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects tools or controls and talk or hear
• The employee frequently must squat stoop or kneel reach above the head and reach forward
• The employee continuously uses hand strength to grasp tools and operate machinery
• The employee may lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• The employee may sometimes push/pull items such as tables chairs scaffolds and furniture

Hourly Rate: $16.50

Weekly Hours: 20-28

EDUCATION EXPERIENCE and OTHER REQUIREMENTS

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Ability to work alone as well with others
• Initiative and ability to work without supervision when required
• Must have a valid drivers license andmeet the requirements to be an authorized driver of a college vehicle
