Head of Group Accounting

Meet your future team

You will join Group Accounting Tax and ESG a team of highly skilled subject matter experts who work closely with our Group Business Services team in Warsaw. The team is split between Hørsholm and Kolding and operates with strong VELUX expertise professionalism and an informal collaborative culture.

In this role you will be the central point of accountability for Group Accounting and a trusted partner to owners management auditors and internal stakeholders. The position carries significant influence and seniority grounded not only in its technical depth but also in its role in shaping and supporting our financial governance. Success in the role relies on building strong constructive relationships and driving progress through dialogue coordination and a forwardlooking approach. You will be closely involved in key discussions and developments helping create clarity and alignment in a dynamic environment.

More specifically your tasks will be to:

• Hold the overall responsibility for Group Accounting towards owners management and auditors
• Contribute to the preparation of materials and presentations for the Board of Directors and the Audit Committee
• Act as the central expert on complex accounting and translate them into clear practical guidance that supports sound decisionmaking matters across the VELUX Group
• Maintain and update the Group Accounting Manual to ensure best practice and clear guidance as well as drive alignment and consistency in accounting practices across group functions and entities
• Support and streamline Group reporting processes
• Strengthen governance and oversee the internal control framework
• Coordinate with external advisors on specialised accounting areas when needed

What you will bring

You are a technically strong accounting professional with the confidence and experience required to take on Grouplevel accountability. You communicate clearly work independently and collaborate effectively across functions. You bring positive energy initiative and a structured approach to both daily tasks and longterm improvements.

Moreover we expect that you:

• Are a chartered accountant hold a degree or possess a similar highly relevant background
• Bring extensive experience within accounting preferably from a global company or from consultancy
• Possess strong technical proficiency within Danish GAAP and solid knowledge of IFRS with a natural commitment to staying current on relevant standards and developments.
• Communicate with clarity and assurance both verbally and in writing
• Work independently and proactively while contributing positively to team dynamics
• Demonstrate strong collaboration skills and the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders across all levels
• Are fluent in both Danish and English
