Job Summary
An established Urgent Care and Out of Hours (OOH) provider in Liverpool is seeking experienced Locum Advanced Nurse Practitioners (ANPs) and Advanced Clinical Practitioners (ACPs) to support evening and weekend service delivery.
The successful candidates will work autonomously within a multidisciplinary team to assess diagnose treat and manage patients presenting with acute and urgent care needs across the lifespan.
Key Responsibilities
Provide autonomous clinical assessment diagnosis and treatment of acute presentations
Manage minor illness and injury presentations safely and effectively
Prescribe independently in line with local and national guidelines
Identify red flag symptoms and initiate appropriate escalation or referral
Request interpret and act upon investigations
Provide clear safety-netting advice and appropriate follow-up arrangements
Maintain accurate and contemporaneous clinical documentation
Work collaboratively within the OOH and urgent care team
Essential Requirements
MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice (completed)
Registered ANP or ACP with relevant professional body (NMC or HCPC)
Independent Prescriber qualification
Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience in urgent care primary care ED or OOH
Evidence of advanced clinical assessment skills
Experience working autonomously
Up-to-date mandatory training
Desirable
Experience in OOH services
Minor illness and minor injury qualification
Experience using Adastra or EMIS (or similar clinical systems)
