Job Summary
CityVet Lower South End is seeking an experienced and compassionate Pet Groomer to join our veterinary team. Responsibilities
Perform professional grooming services including bathing drying haircuts nail trims ear cleaning and gland expression as appropriate
Groom a variety of breeds and coat types
Ensure pets are handled safely and with compassion
Maintain grooming equipment and cleanliness of grooming area
Collaborate with the veterinary team regarding patient health concerns
- Perform thorough client communication when establishing and maintaining electronic records including client preferences or instructions for grooming animals habits and sensitivities and any other personal preferences or requests from the client.
Qualifications
Professional grooming experience required- Portfolio required
Ability to groom all coat types and breeds
Strong scissoring and finishing skills
Excellent client communication and customer service skills
Understanding and ability to safely handle pets of various temperaments
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 18 years of age at the time of hire
