Founded in 1953 Hudson Valley Community College (HVCC) located in scenic Upstate NY is a multi-campus College with locations in Troy and Malta New York. HVCC offers more than 80 degree and certificate programs in three schools: Business and Liberal Arts; Health Sciences; and Science Technology Engineering and Math (STEM). Full-Time Instructor History HV-FAC-8420
(Position Is a full-time Probationary Tenure track Position) Fall 2026

Minimum qualifications:

Masters Degree in History or closely related discipline from an accredited college or university and previous college teaching experience. Ability to teach on campus classes.
Preferred qualifications: Experience teaching online hybrid and in person classes. Experience teaching Western Civilization and/or U.S. History as well as other undergraduate history courses.

DUTIES AND/OR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide instruction in history courses at the 100 and 200 level. Teach in other department areas as needed.
• Evaluate student performance and complete assessments as required by the College.
• Participate in departmental division wide and/or college wide initiatives.
• At the direction of the Department Chairperson faculty shall perform duties as specified in the Faculty Contract.

The Salary beginning the Fall 2026 academic year is $53000.00.
