Full time. Day shift. Rotating weekends and holidays.
Performs 12-Lead EKGs places event and holter monitors processes EKGs to be read and assists with patient and staff education.
- Perform diagnostic 12-Lead electrocardiograms
- Places both event and holter monitors in a timely and efficient manner
- Processes EKGs in MUSE and transmits to Cardiologist for interpretation
- Processes individual patient charges
- Serves as a resource. Trains ancillary personnel in the performance of EKGs and provides education to patients and staff about event and holter monitor placement
- For CRMH: Assists with monitoring and recording EKGs during treadmill and chemical stress testing
What We Require:
Education: Must successfully complete Cardiac Arrhythmia course within eight weeks of hire.
Experience: One year of Nursing Assistant or comparable patient care experience preferred. Previous EKG and rhythm recognition preferred.
Licensure/certification: Current BLS NA if applicable.
Other Minimum Requirements: Effective interpersonal communication and teamworking skills required. Must successfully complete orientation and competency validation for position.
