Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift Options:
Night Shift: 4x10-Hour (10:00 PM 8:30 AM) Monday Thursday
Night Shift: 3x12-Hour (7:00 PM 7:30 AM) Weekend schedule with three pass days and rotating weekends
Position Overview
A healthcare facility in Syracuse NY is seeking an experienced Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic radiographic examinations under the supervision of departmental radiologists. The technologist will be responsible for producing high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring patient safety comfort and compliance with radiation protection standards.
Key Responsibilities
Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations as ordered by physicians and radiologists
Prepare and position patients properly for imaging procedures
Explain radiologic procedures to patients and ensure patient comfort and safety
Set appropriate exposure factors to obtain high-quality diagnostic images
Practice radiation safety and protection to minimize unnecessary exposure
Operate radiologic imaging equipment efficiently and report any equipment malfunctions
Process imaging studies and ensure proper documentation in the Radiology Information System (RIS)
Maintain accurate patient records for documentation and billing purposes
Follow departmental policies protocols and safety guidelines
Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare staff to support accurate diagnosis and patient care
Required Qualifications
Associates Degree (A.A.S.) in Radiologic Technology or equivalent education
Active New York State Radiologic Technologist License/Registration
Minimum 1 year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist
Ability to successfully complete pre-employment health clearance
