Provides strategic and operational leadership in planning developing directing and evaluating organizational efforts to integrate the Mercy mission and values and our Catholic identity into the decisions and activities of the leadership and into the day-to-day operations of the people serving in the Mercy health ministry.
Position Details:
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Masters degree in theology with a specialization in mission services or a commitment to work toward this degree is required. Masters degree in theology or ethics is acceptable.
Experience: Five years healthcare experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience: Senior management leadership experience.
Skills Knowledge Abilities:
Demonstrated knowledge with ability to communicate and apply the knowledge in the following areas:
Catholic theology ecclesiology ministry and those aspects of canon law pertinent to healthcare.
Personal and organizational spirituality.
Clinical business and organizational ethics and social justice.
Organizational dynamics i.e. adult learning group process organizational culture change management healthcare management and financing and collaboration.
Personal qualifications:
Team-oriented and capable of establishing mutually beneficial relationships with diverse groups of people.
Knowledgeable about contemporary healthcare delivery systems and about ethical issues facing the field.
