Logistics Specialist

Beckwood headquartered in Fenton Missouri is one of the worlds leading manufacturers of custom hydraulic presses and automation equipment and is seeking a Logistics Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for managing domestic and international shipments coordinating with carriers and internal teams and ensuring timely cost-effective delivery of goods. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment has strong organizational skills and can effectively manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and compliance.

What Youll Be Doing:

  • Create and manage both inbound and outbound domestic and international shipments to ensure timely cost effective and accurate delivery of goods (parcel LTL TL).
  • Prepare and maintain shipping documents invoices packing lists and customs paperwork.
  • Manage relationships with carriers freight forwarders suppliers and third-party logistics providers.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and all relevant government regulations.
  • Track shipments and resolve any issues related to delays damages or documentation discrepancies.
  • Communicate shipment updates regularly to internal and external stakeholders as required.
  • Analyze transportation costs and recommend cost-effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with multiple internal teams to ensure accurate order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports for audits performance analysis and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Utilize logistics software and ERP systems to manage and track shipments.


Qualifications

What Were Looking For:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Logistics Business or a related field or 35 years of experience in logistics coordination or supply chain operations. (High school diploma at minimum).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel Word Outlook)
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems and logistics or transportation management software
  • Strong understanding of transportation regulations Incoterms and customs documentation
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Work Environment

This position is primarily based in a professional office environment but includes occasional time in the manufacturing facility to support projects and collaborate with production teams. While in the plant employees may be exposed to typical manufacturing conditions such as machinery operation and moderate noise levels.

Physical Demands

This role primarily operates in a professional office environment requiring the ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods while occasionally moving about to access office equipment and files.
