Exciting Summer Opportunity in Facilities & Campus Upkeep!
Charlotte Latins Facilities Department is seeking energetic and dedicated summer crew members to play a vital role in maintaining our beautiful campus.
Become an essential part of the team assisting with hands-on projects in campus upkeep maintenance and facility support. Youll gain practical experience while contributing directly to creating an optimal environment for our community.
Work may begin as early as mid-May and continue through mid-August. Hours range from 25 to 30 hours per week.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities for Maintenance and Custodial
Duties
- Assist maintenance staff with various tasks: moving furniture performing preventative maintenance on equipment and various other tasks.
- Help organize storage buildings.
- Assist grounds staff with campus clean-up including some pressure washing.
- Provide assistance to any other facilities staff in the execution of their duties.
Qualifications
Skills
- Ability to operate hand tools and equipment used in maintenance and repair work
- Ability to work independently to carry out assignments
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written and oral instructions
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations
- Adheres to the highest level of professionalism
- Ability to safely operate a golf cart.
Working Conditions and Environment
- Intermittently lift carry push and pull up to 25 pounds.
- Continuously see sit balance grasp and have repetitive use of arms wrists hands and fingers; and some fine finger dexterity.
- Frequently talk and hear.
- Intermittently stand stoop bend twist crouch kneel crawl walk climb stairs step stools and ladders operate foot and hand controls squeeze and reach above shoulders.
- Exposure to dust chemicals fumes flammables grease dirt stacked materials electrical equipment machinery low to medium noise levels and moderate indoor temperatures of heat and cold.
- Long or odd hours as needed.
