The Role
Cision is seeking an experiencedBusiness Development Managerto join ourNew Business (Hunter) team responsible for driving high-value net-new revenue across theMediterraneanmid-markets with a core focus on selling thePR Newswire suite of products.
This is a full 360 new business role owning complex sales cycles frominitialprospecting through to close. The role requires a structured data-ledand consultative sales approach positioningPR Newswireas a strategic communications platform aligned to measurable business outcomes.
You will be expected tooperatewithdiscipline and commercial judgement applyingMEDDICCmethodologyto qualify progress and forecast opportunities accurately.

Duties and Responsibilities
The role includes but is not limited to:
- Own and drive new business acquisition across theMediterraneanmid-markets selling the PR Newswire suite of products.
- Proactively generate pipeline through disciplined outbound activity including cold callingLinkedInand tools such asCognism
- Apply MEDDICC rigorously to qualify opportunities ensuring clarity around metrics
- Position PR Newswires value proposition against clearly defined business outcomes and success metrics.
- Lead complex consultative sales conversations with senior stakeholders anddecision makers.
- Deliver high-impact online and in-person product demonstrations tailored to customerobjectives.
- Build andmaintaina high-quality pipeline with strong forecast accuracy.
- Consistently achieve activity KPIs and revenue targets in line with senior-level expectations.
- Maintain structured insight-led engagement with prospects throughout the buyers journey.
- Ensureaccuratetimelyand detailed CRMaccuracywithin Salesforce aligned to MEDDICC standards.
- Provide detailed reporting on pipelineaccuracy forecast wins/losses competitivepositioningand market trends.
- Act as anambassador for Cision and PR Newswire at client meetings and relevant industry events.
- Ensure full compliance with company policies including data protection confidentialitydiversityand equal opportunities.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Proventrack recordof exceeding new business targets in a B2B SaaS or platform-based sales environment.
- Significant experiencein senior-level new business development and complex deal execution.
- Strong working knowledge and practical application of MEDDICC salesmethodology.
- Experience selling consultative high-value solutions to mid-market or enterprise organisations.
- Ability to engage influence and negotiate with C-suite and senior decision makers.
- Strong commercial acumen and data-driven decision-making capability.
- Expertisein prospectingqualificationand pipeline management.
- Experience or strong domain knowledge within PR communicationsmarketingor media.
- In-depth understanding of theSpanishMediterranean business landscape.
- Highly organisedself-directedand resilient with excellent time-management skills.
- Comfortable operating in a high-pressure target-driven environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to CRM discipline.
- Willingness to travel within the market on a quarterly basis.
- Experience selling into Southern European markets particularly Spain and Italy would beadvantageous but not essential.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken); Spanishproficiencyis desirable.
