At DataForce by TransPerfect we are looking for professionals with a strong background in mathematics to perform quality control on solution hints for complex mathematical problems. The problems are comparable in difficulty to those found in the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO). Our ideal candidate has strong logical reasoning skills and advanced mathematical training with experience in competition-level mathematics academic research or mathematically intensive industry roles (e.g. professors researchers PhD students data scientists quantitative analysts or engineers).

Role Summary

Quality Control Annotators will review and evaluate hints written by another team of annotators ensuring they meet defined standards for logical reasoning mathematical correctness and quality of explanation. This role focuses exclusively on review and validation; Quality Control Annotators will not generate original hints.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review solution hints for advanced mathematical problems (IMO-level difficulty).

  • Evaluate hints using defined QC criteria including:

  • Logical soundness and coherence

  • Mathematical correctness

  • Adequacy of the reasoning provided

  • Identify and flag hints that are incorrect incomplete or weak.

  • Provide structured feedback following project guidelines and tools.

  • Communicate with the project team and client when clarification is needed.

Job Requirements

  • Strong logical reasoning skills.

  • Advanced background in mathematics ideally with experience in competition-level problem solving (e.g. Olympiad training) or mathematical research.

  • Ability to critically evaluate complex mathematical arguments.

  • Proficiency in English (native level not required).

  • Clear written communication skills especially for explaining mathematical reasoning.
