Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

Zero-Downtime Database Migrations: Architect and execute live near-zero downtime migrations from Azure MongoDB to MongoDB Atlas on GCP.
Azure MySQL Migration: Lead the migration of Azure MySQL databases to GCP (Cloud SQL for MySQL or self-managed on GKE) using GCP Database Migration Service (DMS) native asynchronous replication or other high-availability migration methodologies.
Multi-Cloud Infrastructure Design: Design provision and secure foundational cloud infrastructure across Azure GCP and AWS focusing on cross-cloud networking (VPC peering VPN/Interconnect) and workload identity federation (IAM).
Kubernetes Administration: Provision manage and scale Kubernetes clusters specifically Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) ensuring stateful workloads run securely and efficiently.
Automation & CI/CD: Automate all database operational activities infrastructure provisioning and disaster recovery (DR) failovers using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and modern deployment pipelines.
Performance & Analytics: Optimize database performance for post-migration workloads and establish connectivity or data pipelines to Google BigQuery for analytical processing.

Required Technical Skills & Qualifications
Proven experience executing database migrations at scale specifically utilizing MongoDB Atlas Live Migration and GCP Database Migration Service (DMS) or native replication tools.
Proven experience as a MongoDB and MySQL administrator.
Deep architectural knowledge of multi-cloud environments (GCP Azure and AWS) with expertise in cross-cloud IAM VPC routing and security perimeters.
Strong hands-on experience managing containerized applications and stateful sets on GKE (Google Kubernetes Engine) and AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service).
Good to have in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and/or Jenkins.
Scripting skills in Python for custom automation and database operations.
Solid understanding of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) setups for distributed databases.
Experience with database observability and monitoring tools (e.g. Datadog or any other like Prometheus Grafana any monitoring tool etc.).
