Job Summary

Position Overview

The Manufacturing Quality Engineer ensures strong product and process control aligned with the Control Plan while partnering closely with production teams.

This role also leads the 8D problemsolving process for all internal and external concerns ensuring timely and effective resolution.

Key Tasks

Ensure full compliance with Production Control Plans and maintain updated documentation throughout the program lifecycle.

Verify proper use calibration and maintenance of measurement and test equipment including red rabbits used for PokaYoke validation.

Collect analyze and react to manufacturing process data; maintain SPC capability studies and drive continuous improvement.

Approve and maintain all quality documents for the production line/cell such as Control Plans Work Instructions Boundary Samples Appearance Books and Rework/Inspection Instructions.

Ensure proper containment rework and inspection processes for nonconforming products while leading timely disposition.

Lead problemsolving and Fast Response activities ensuring effective use of tools and timely 8D completion.

Facilitate crossfunctional rootcause resolution and coordinate internal sorting when required.

Conduct process capability studies recommend improvements based on findings and verify effectiveness.

Participate in FMEA reviews and updates.

Supervise Manufacturing Process Quality Inspectors/Auditors and ensure the accuracy of inspections and audits.

Exercise authority to stop any process or product delivery in cases of nonconformance or safety/environmental risks.

Key Requirements

Bachelors degree in Engineering or a technical field.

Strong communication and coordination skills.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and understand productspecific quality requirements.

Experience with quality and problemsolving tools (8D 5Why Fishbone SPC Control Plans FMEA MSA PPAP).

Experience in manufacturing environments with understanding of production and process control methods.
