Job Summary:
The Senior Solutions Architect will play a crucial role in modernizing the Client Health Related Information System (CHRIS) by developing strategic and solutions architectures. This includes decomposing monolithic architectures into domain-specific services evaluating build-vs-buy options and implementing a scalable services platform. The architect will provide leadership and mentorship to engineering teams guiding them through the modernization initiative and complex system designs.
Location:Toronto Ontario Canada
Responsibilities:
- Lead the creation of an architecture strategy for decomposing legacy monolithic systems into modular scalable services.
- Lead the strategic evolution towards a services-based environment.
- Lead the build-vs-buy evaluation for targeted components.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technical roadmaps with business objectives and ensure seamless integration of services.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to engineering teams guiding them through the modernization initiative and complex system designs.
- Defining strategic evolution plans for enterprise-wide applications.
- Creating and maintaining strategic product and technology roadmaps.
- Defining architecture for large-scale software systems.
- Analyzing decomposing and understanding complex software ecosystems.
- Leading large multi-team initiatives.
- Overseeing and driving the delivery of software-based projects.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- At least 5 years of experience in the Ontario home care health sector.
- TOGAF Certification.
- At least 10 years of experience in large scale software solution architecture.
- A university degree in Computer Science (or equivalent).
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Defining standard messaging interfaces and services.
Special Considerations:
- Hybrid work environment (50%).
- Must have Public Sector Experience.
