Your Role

As Team Leader Accommodation you will provide leadership across two services ensuring effective service delivery and strong team performance. You will work collaboratively with case management teams supporting individuals children and families and engaging key stakeholders to achieve positive client outcomes.

Your Responsibility

  • Supervise guide and support a team of support workers across two crisis accommodation sites

  • Support staff to implement client case plans in collaboration with case workers

  • Lead continuous quality improvement activities and implement service-level strategies

  • Ensure services are delivered in line with the Societys Client Housing and Homelessness Service framework

  • Maintain awareness of government policies impacting service delivery

  • Coordinating client bookings and check-ins to ensure a smooth and supportive service experience

  • Promote a safe welcoming and respectful environment for clients

  • Build strong relationships with partner agencies and contribute to policy development

  • Attend team meetings training supervision and performance reviews

  • Participate in the on-call weekend roster (approx once every 5 weeks)

You Will Need

  • The St Vincent de Paul Society considers being a woman is a genuine occupational qualification for this position under section 31 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977 (NSW).
  • Cert IV or higher-level qualifications in Social Work Social Science Community Welfare or a related field

  • Demonstrated experience in a supervisory or leadership role

  • Experience in administrative data management and accountability processes

  • Sound judgement and the ability to respond calmly and appropriately in crisis situations

  • Strong communication skills including negotiation and conflict resolution

  • High-level interpersonal skills and the ability to connect with people from diverse backgrounds

  • Commitment to ethical reflective practice with both clients and staff

  • Knowledge of WHS legislation and child protection responsibilities

  • Ability to use Microsoft Office and client databases

  • A valid NSW driver licence

  • Experience supporting individuals children and families experiencing crisis and homelessness

  • Understanding of domestic and family violence mental health and disability and the ability to support staff and caseworkers working with people with complex needs
