Job Summary
The Resort at Longboat Key Club is seeking a dedicated and experienced Event Manager to join our team in Longboat Key FL. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning coordinating and executing a wide range of events while ensuring exceptional guest experiences that reflect the luxury and exclusivity of our resort.
Responsibilities
- Plan organize and manage all types of events including weddings corporate meetings social gatherings and special occasions.
- Work closely with clients to understand their event needs and deliver personalized service.
- Coordinate with internal departments such as catering housekeeping and operations to ensure seamless event execution.
- Develop event budgets and manage expenses to maximize profitability.
- Negotiate and manage vendor contracts and relationships and sales leads.
- Ensure compliance with all health safety and legal regulations during events.
- Handle any issues or emergencies during events promptly and professionally.
- Maintain detailed records of events client communications and feedback.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years in event planning or similar role preferably within the hospitality or resort industry.
- Previous experience working in a 4 or 5-star property
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays as needed.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Bachelors degree in Hospitality Management Event Planning or related field is preferred.
- Sales-Force operating system experience preferred
- Must have a clean driving record.
