A well-established 126-bed acute care hospital in Sebring Florida is seeking an experienced RN Manager ICU to lead its Critical Care unit. The hospital provides comprehensive emergency surgical inpatient and outpatient services and has served the community for decades with advanced medical technology and patient-centered care initiatives.
Position Summary
The RN Manager ICU is responsible for overseeing daily operations of the Intensive Care Unit under the supervision of the Nursing Director. This leader ensures delivery of high-quality safe and efficient patient care in accordance with professional nursing standards including those established by the American Nurses Association (ANA).
The manager collaborates closely with physicians nursing leadership and interdisciplinary teams to maintain clinical excellence regulatory compliance and operational efficiency across a 24-hour care model.
Responsibilities
Coordinate and oversee care for critically ill patients across various age groups
Manage 24-hour ICU operations in collaboration with Nursing Director and administration
Supervise mentor and evaluate nursing staff performance
Ensure compliance with hospital policies procedures and accepted standards of care
Promote a positive and collaborative work environment within the ICU and across departments
Assist in staff development scheduling and resource allocation
Maintain high standards for patient safety quality outcomes and regulatory readiness
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
Associate Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred)
Minimum 5 years of Critical Care nursing experience in an acute care setting
Minimum 3 years of leadership experience as:
Certifications (Required Within Specified Timeframes)
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 30 days of hire
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) within 30 days of hire
Nonviolent Crisis Intervention within 90 days of hire
