Job Summary

TITLE: Long-Term Substitute 8th Grade Math Teacher

LOCATION: Clear Creek Amana Middle School (Tiffin IA)

REPORTS TO: Principal or Designee

JOB SUMMARY: Provides instruction in the curricular areas and behavioral skills to students in 8th grade Math during teachers absence

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

In the teachers absence follow the lesson plans provided to ensure programming associated with core curriculum and behavioral skills
Follow behavior management plans for students
Assists and collaborates with the administration school counselor staff parents and students on matters pertaining to academic achievement and social/emotional/behavioral goals
Maintains appropriate records and protects the confidentiality of data
Reports to work as scheduled on a regular and reliable basis
Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

Appropriate State of Iowa Licensure including Substitute Authorization Certificate
Experience in classroom teaching PreK 12th grade preferred.
Initiative to be a self starter
Intuitive to the needs of students
Flexibility in assignment given
Ability to use good judgment
