Schedule: Days (7:30 AM 4:00 PM) Rotating Weekends
Compensation & Incentives
Hourly Rate:
$35.77/hr New Graduate
$44.71/hr Mid-Level (Up to 10 Years Experience)
$49.18/hr 16 Years Experience
Sign-On Bonus: $10000
Relocation Assistance: Available (case-by-case basis)
Position Summary
A respected healthcare facility in Gainesville FL is seeking a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join its rehabilitation team. The SLP will evaluate and treat patients with communication cognitive and swallowing disorders while collaborating closely with physicians nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver evidence-based care.
This role supports patients in improving functional independence and overall quality of life through individualized therapy programs.
Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive evaluations of speech language cognitive and swallowing abilities using standardized assessments
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to patient needs
Document evaluations progress notes and discharge summaries accurately and timely
Educate patients and families regarding therapy goals and home exercise programs
Collaborate with physicians nursing staff and rehabilitation teams to coordinate patient care
Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and discharge planning
Required Qualifications
Masters Degree in Speech Language Pathology
Active State License as a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)
Minimum 1 year of SLP experience
Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience performing Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBS)
Experience with Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES)
