Mechanical Design Engineer

Vertiv is currently looking to add a Mechanical Design Engineer to our team of associates in Anderson SC. We look for people who are 100% team-oriented self-driven and technically proficient. This position is best suited to someone who enjoys a variety of new challenges a hands-on environment and will accept the challenges and reap the benefits of working for a facility with a blank canvas. You will have an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to modelling and manufacturing drawings pertaining to Busbar and Busbar tap boxes.

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Engineering Manager the ideal candidates roles and responsibilities will include the following tasks as well as other pertinent tasks as assigned by Organization leadership.

• Support for Engineer staff for project specific requirements for Low Voltage Assemblies (LVA).
• Generate Solid work models and drawings as required for each project /site requirements.
• Perform initial setup of projects on ERP system IFS.
• Compile Technical Drawings for review by Engineers prior to issuing to the customer.
• Establish and reinforce document control for each project.
• Provide technical support to manufacturing and assembly teams supporting design related issues and ensuring smooth production process.

Required Knowledge Experience Skills and Abilities

• Possess computer proficiency including familiarity with Microsoft Word Excel email and databases such as Access.
• Display a proactive flexible approach to working within a team environment.
• Proficient in 3D drawing packages (Solid Works experience preferable)
• Ability to self-manage be self-motivated and deliver to project milestones.
• Innovative problem-solving skills
• Professional verbal and written communication

Education:

• Bachelors (Preferred)
• Two-year degree in engineering related field (Minimum)

• Based on Education and/or Experience.
