Vertiv is currently looking to add a Mechanical Design Engineer to our team of associates in Anderson SC. We look for people who are 100% team-oriented self-driven and technically proficient. This opportunity is for someone who wants to work within a technically driven team with minimal functional management and continue to build on the reputation we have created throughout Europe and the Middle East to establish the same reputation in the United States. Our leadership team will guide you on projects which suit your strengths but a willingness to get the job done and overcome obstacles is a must. This position is best suited to someone who enjoys a variety of new challenges a hands-on environment and will accept the challenges and reap the benefits of working for a facility with a blank canvas. You will have an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to modelling and manufacturing drawings pertaining to Busbar and Busbar tap boxes.

Responsibilities:

• Reporting to the Engineering Manager the ideal candidates roles and responsibilities will include the following tasks as well as other pertinent tasks as assigned by Organization leadership.
• Support for Engineer staff for project specific requirements for Low Voltage Assemblies (LVA).
• Generate Solid work models and drawings as required for each project /site requirements.
• Perform initial setup of projects on ERP system IFS.
• Compile Technical Drawings for review by Engineers prior to issuing to the customer.
• Establish and reinforce document control for each project.
• Provide technical support to manufacturing and assembly teams supporting design related issues and ensuring smooth production process.

Requirements

• Bachelors (Preferred)
• Two-year degree in engineering related field (Minimum)
• Possess computer proficiency including familiarity with Microsoft Word Excel email and databases such as Access.
• Display a proactive flexible approach to working within a team environment.
• Proficient in 3D drawing packages (Solid Works experience preferable)
• Ability to self-manage be self-motivated and deliver to project milestones.
• Innovative problem-solving skills
• Professional verbal and written communication
