Job Description -

Role: Confluent Kafka Lead

Location: New York - Onsite

Note: This will be deliver an onsite series of workshops focused on Confluent platform as it relates to sizing monitoring day 2 operations moving from replicator to cluster linking

Job Details

Design develop and maintain Kafka producers and consumers for real-time data streaming.

Build high-performance event-driven systems integrating Kafka with microservices or external systems.

Implement integrations using Kafka Connect REST APIs databases and external data sources.

Create reusable streaming components using Kafka Streams ksqlDB or stream processing frameworks (optional but common).

Set up configure and manage Kafka clusters (on-premise or Confluent Cloud).

Monitor cluster health performance and handle tuning for throughput/latency.

Implement data governance security policies (RBAC ACLs TLS/SASL) and compliance.

Technical Skills

Scripting skills in Python or similar languages

Strong experience working in Unix/Linux environments

Understanding of Kafka internals (brokers topics partitions replication offsets)
