Job Summary: Agile Java Software Developer

- Position: Contract-to-hire (6 9 months) onsite Monday Friday 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
- Location: Local candidates only; must attend in-person interviews and work onsite
- Organization: Arizona State Retirement System (ASRS)
- Role: Hands-on Java Software Developer within Agile Scrum teams
- Project Focus:
- Enhance online services
- Modernize legacy systems
- Streamline payment processing
- Development Environment: Collaborative DevOps-driven
- Key Responsibilities:
- Work in Agile Scrum teams delivering software in iterative sprints
- Develop full-stack Java applications using Spring Boot and Oracle
- Collaborate with business and technical leads to design and implement solutions
- Work across UI controller logic services and database layers
- Contribute to automated testing and CI/CD pipelines
- Maintain code quality and security standards
- Required Technical Expertise:
- Java 17 Spring Boot/Framework Spring Security
- Oracle Databases JSP Apache Tomcat
- JavaScript JQuery Bootstrap
- Git/GitHub Maven
- Preferred Skills:
- Spring Batch Spring Integration
- Oracle PL/SQL MyBatis
- FileNet Jasper Reports
- Code quality tools security tools/processes
- BDD/TDD Cucumber Selenium
- Atlassian JIRA/Confluence
- Candidate Requirements:
- Must be local and available for in-person interview within 1 week
- Must be able to start within 2 weeks of offer
