Responsibilities and Duties
- Rapidly assess incoming patients to prioritize care based on acuity level.
- Initiate life-saving interventions manage trauma cases and stabilize patients in critical condition.
- Administer prescribed medications calculating dosages based on weight-specific parameters.
- Assist with procedures such as intubation sutures and splinting.
- Continuously monitor vital signs and patient responses to treatment adjusting care as needed.
- Educate families communicate clearly under pressure and provide emotional support to reduce anxiety.
- Maintain accurate timely electronic medical records for all patient interactions.
- Work alongside physicians and specialists to ensure continuity of care.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in nursing or other medical fields
- RN NY In good standing
- Familiarity with medical software and equipment
- Ability to build rapport with patients
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
