- Evaluate residents functional abilities including ADLs mobility cognition and psychosocial factors.
- Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy treatment plans based on evaluations and physician orders.
- Provide direct occupational therapy interventions to improve residents functional independence and quality of life.
- Monitor document and adjust resident treatment plans to achieve rehabilitation goals.
- Participate in interdisciplinary care planning meetings and collaborate with other healthcare team members.
- Educate residents families and caregivers on safety and strategies to promote independence.
- Recommend adaptive equipment and assistive devices as needed to support resident function.
- Supervise and provide guidance to Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) and therapy aides.
