Job Summary
Job Title: Clinical Lab Scientist - Variable Shift
Job Location: King City CA
Job Type: Contract
Job Description:
- Perform and interpret moderate to high-complexity testing in Hematology Chemistry Immunology Microbiology Blood Bank and Urinalysis.
- Operate and maintain automated laboratory analyzers.
- Review and verify test results prior to release.
- Identify and report critical values in accordance with policy.
- Perform daily QC and proficiency testing.
- Ensure compliance with CLIA CAP and California Department of Public Health (CDPH) regulations.
- Maintain documentation for inspections and audits.
- Implement corrective actions when QC results fall outside acceptable ranges.
- Perform calibration and preventive maintenance.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and coordinate with vendors as needed.
- Assist in validation of new instruments or methodologies.
