We are seeking a Lab Technician - Junior to join our team. This role will involve supporting server performance testing environments assembling and maintaining server hardware installing operating systems and troubleshooting hardware and software issues in a lab setting. The ideal candidate will have experience in server assembly Linux/Windows environments firmware flashing and lab operations along with a passion for hands-on technical support and infrastructure optimization.

Job Description:

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Lab Technician - Junior to support server performance and infrastructure testing activities. The Lab Technician - Junior will assist with server assembly hardware installation OS setup and troubleshooting tasks within a lab environment. The Lab Technician - Junior will work closely with performance architects and engineering teams to ensure servers are properly configured and maintained. This Lab Technician - Junior role requires hands-on hardware expertise strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to follow standard operating procedures. The Lab Technician - Junior will also help manage lab inventory and support system debugging across hardware firmware and network components.

Key Responsibilities:

Rack stack and maintain server systems in lab environments
Install and remove hardware components (CPU memory storage NICs peripherals)
Install and configure Linux and Windows Server operating systems
Flash firmware (BIOS FPGA firmware VR firmware) via remote tools or programming utilities
Debug and troubleshoot system functional issues (hardware software networking)
Support power and thermal testing and hardware validation
Configure network interfaces and apply static IP addresses
Track organize and reclaim lab inventory and hardware assets
Document lab findings and clearly communicate technical observations
Support server cluster setup and infrastructure configuration when required

Required Skills & Experience:

Minimum 2 years of related technical experience or education
At least 1 year of demonstrated experience in:
- Server hardware installation (CPU memory SSDs NVMe NICs)
- Linux OS and Windows Server OS installation and navigation
- Firmware flashing and system updates
- Troubleshooting hardware and system-level issues
Basic understanding of Linux networking and network configuration
Experience working in Windows and Linux environments
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience using MS Office (Word Excel PowerPoint)
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Team-oriented mindset with strong attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications:

Associates degree in Computer Technology
3 5 years of experience in server assembly lab support or related technical field
Experience configuring server clusters or client/server environments
Experience with automated testing tools
Experience managing multiple server systems and end-user support
Ability to configure and debug high-speed network infrastructure
Willingness to work extended hours when needed to meet critical milestones
