Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Systems Integration & Test Engineer to support the development integration and testing of complex systems consisting of in-house developed and COTS/GOTS hardware and software components.
The engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing automated test solutions supporting system integration activities and validating subsystem and system-level performance against program requirements.
This role involves close collaboration with engineering program management and cross-functional teams to ensure testing activities align with technical schedule and cost constraints.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan implement and maintain integration and system test solutions for complex hardware and software systems.
- Develop and execute test plans test procedures and automated test programs.
- Use LabVIEW and NI TestStand to create edit and support automated test software.
- Integrate COTS/GOTS components subsystems and systems into test environments.
- Perform system integration testing and regression testing to validate implemented fixes.
- Analyze test results and prepare technical evaluation and validation reports.
- Identify system discrepancies and generate defect or discrepancy reports.
- Troubleshoot hardware/software interface issues across systems and subsystems.
- Derive test requirements from system design specifications.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including hardware software and systems engineers.
- Support project documentation including test plans work instructions technical reports and presentations.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Computer Engineering Computer Science or related discipline.
- 5 years experience using Microsoft Office tools for technical documentation and reporting.
- 5 years experience developing and supporting LabVIEW test applications.
- 3 years experience developing and supporting NI TestStand test programs.
- Experience troubleshooting complex hardware/software integration issues.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- U.S. Citizenship required with ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.
Desired Qualifications
- 9 years of professional engineering experience.
- Subject matter expertise in RF or Microwave systems.
- Experience developing automated test systems and measurement solutions.
- Experience measuring electrical parameters for components and subsystems.
- Strong background in RF testing and troubleshooting.
- Experience designing test equipment and specifying instrumentation.
- Ability to troubleshoot issues related to test instruments fixturing software or units under test.
- Experience creating engineering documentation block diagrams and parts lists.
- Familiarity with Corrective and Preventative Action (CAPA) processes.
- Experience presenting technical findings and trade studies to engineering teams.
